Father's Day for the Greatest Ever!

We had a lot of fun celebrating our dad this year. I feel so blessed to have such a great dad and to have him living so close. I also feel so lucky to have such a wonderful husband that is such a wonderful dad. I seriously don't know what my crazy life would be like without him. He has definitely changed about as many diapers as I have, has cleaned up WAY more puke, and has given the kids way more baths than me! This year, the kids and I had fun making gifts for dad and grandpa. We bought him a few things too, but making these was WAY more fun!

This little lawn mower cupcake was perfect for Cole since our Lawn mowing company is the reason I am able to stay at home now and be a full-time mom!

This is the cake we made for Cole for the Long Drive Contest. The stuff on top of the cake was worth way more than the cake itself! The kids even kissed the balls for good luck, even though he had to use certain balls for the competition and didn't even get to use them! (The balls were supposed to be on the tee's, but the cake was too soft and it wouldn't hold them! Oh well! This works too, I guess!)

You should have seen how many rocks we looked at before we found the perfect one to paint! Grandpa Stewart's had to have a "Y" on it, of course since the Cougars are our all-time favorite team EVER! Imagine how much we would love them if they were every actually any good!

We put this on our front porch and I thought it was so funny when Avery, one of the kids' friends, came over and said, "Who is that supposed to be?" I said, "Cole." She said, "Nu-uh! Cole doesn't even have any hair!" Oops! What was I thinking?! We should have left this poor little "rock guy" bald I guess!

Apparently Tons of Golf Won't Kill!

Since all that golf didn't kill any of us off, hopefully all of these pictures won't kill anyone off either!

We spent a lot of time sitting on bleachers and watching, but also went to the range a hit a LOT of golf balls!

Too bad Cole didn't win one of the cars behind Brock! I was really praying hard for it!

Cole, lining up for his first shot in the finals. That's' Devin Dixon announcing in the front, he made sure he was in pretty much every shot I took of Cole! He and Cole are pretty good friends and it was so funny to hear what he was saying the whole time Cole was trying to hit. I recorded it, but it was taking forever to download, so you just get the boring version instead and have to trust me that it was hilarious!

In case you're wondering what all this is about, here's the story!

On the 21st and 22nd of June, Cherry Creek Radio held their 5th Annual Long Drive Competition. Last year, Cole did really good ( I think he place 7th out of 40ish), but this year, he was really pumped and thought he might be able to win it! A friend at the golf course even built him his own special "Killer Bee" to compete with. It was a super long, but very fun 2 days. He made it through the semi-finals Friday night and hit his first 3 shots right in the middle of the grid Saturday night in the finals. His second drive was really good - 347 yards! The tough part was waiting and watching all of the other 16 competitors hit and wondering if he was going to stay in the top 4. He did! Then the top 4 competitors continued in match play format and Cole ended up taking 3rd with a drive of 354 yards! Logan Leavitt won again, with a legitimate drive of 376. (His other drive was 394, but hit off the cart path and kicked!) The second place drive was 364 by some kid we didn't know, but it was so fun. The kids had a blast watching Cole, and his dad (who placed 4th in the Senior division) hit. It was fun to see how respected Cole is in our community and to watch all of his friends there to support him. I am so proud of him!
